Learn the origins of famous dance emotes through 11 GIFs

It’s quite funny when you realize how much we’ve come to love dance emotes in 2018. Of course, these fun dances can’t overcome the need for smooth graphics or high fps, but It’s hard to find an MMO without these funny emotes. By now it’s almost become the norm, far beyond the borders of multiplayer games and into games that only need avatars and chatboxes. So, PC Gamer created a list to briefly tell the history of dance emotes in PC gaming through the power of 11 gifs.

Everquest – 1999

Everquest is the starting point of today’s modern MMO genre, as well as of comedic dance.
