Epic Games Store has replaced the game Observer and Alan Wake: American Nightmare equal QUBE 2 and Layers of Fear from this week. These two new games are currently free on the Epic Games Store.
If Observer from the previous free-to-play game excites you, then Layers of Fear deserves your attention, as it was also developed by Blooper Team. The psychological horror game, set in the 1920s, takes the player on a terrifying journey with three different endings, depending on your decisions. This Layers of Fear also includes the Inheritance DLC.
QUBE 2 is a first-person physics puzzle game. Players must use blocks to pass the levels. The game has more than 80 levels with diverse environments and a plot with a horror trend.
The Epic Games Store is giving away Layers of Fear for free for Windows and macOS, while QUBE 2 is for Windows. Notably, Layers of Fear is also currently playable on Linux using Steam but is being sold for $19.99. The two games can be obtained for free until October 31. After that, the Epic Games Store will replace them with Custom Quest and SOMA in the next free wave. Here is the lowest configuration to play the game:
