After a long wait, recently, the production team of Layers of Fear 2 has released a new trailer, introducing the game scene on a mysterious boat.
Ever since Bloober Team announced a collaboration on Layers of Fear 2 with Friday the 13th game publisher Gun Media, fans of this psychological horror series have been patiently waiting for new information about the game. Most recently, the two sides have just released a trailer to introduce the game, with a completely new look at the sequel to the game.
Layers of Fear 2 will be narrated by famous voice actor Tony Todd (Candyman, Platoon). This new trailer is set in a boat in the middle of the sea, with a few moments players will encounter. The main character of the game is a famous actor from the Golden Age of Hollywood, who is required to film with sea scenes. In addition, instead of pictures used as material to exploit the game’s theme, Layers of Fear 2 will use footage to tell stories and bring horror.
Layers of Fear 2 also shares a development log: Bartosz Kapron, game designer and producer discusses the concept behind the second and what fans can expect from the first. According to Kapron, Bloober Team wanted to “retain what we loved from the first game,” including “dark, somber interiors, shifting environments, as well as a deep, multi-layered storyline.” The exploration of cinematic art in Part 2 will help it stand out from the 2016 version.
Layers of Fear 2 is currently scheduled to be released in 2019, but has yet to be confirmed for a console release.
