Konami apologizes to gamers for the eFootball 2022 disaster.
Released on September 29, eFootball 2022 has become the focus of criticism of PES fans in particular and the gaming community in general. When Konami’s latest game encountered a lot of errors in graphics and gameplay. Many gamers do not understand what Konami did to make a legendary series like PES have to close and open a new brand as lousy as eFootball.
The biggest minus point of eFootball is the extremely bad graphics. Even if compared with the PES versions 5-7 years ago, eFootball is not equal. Extremely bad pitch, rigid character movements, weird shapes… all have created a bad eFootball that no words can describe.
The graphics are bad, the gameplay of eFootball is not much better. eFootball has thrown away the legacy of PES with bloody fights, fast, transformative, exciting gameplay. Instead, it is a game that borrows many ideas from FIFA (EA’s), forming a mixed pot of “bad guy, bad guy”.
In a recent announcement on eFootball’s official Twitter page, Konami apologized to the gaming community and especially fans for the problems that eFootball 2022 encountered when it was just released.
“After the release of eFootball 2022 , we received a lot of feedback and requests regarding the balance of the game. We also acknowledge that there have been reports of issues users have experienced with cutscenes, facial expressions and player movements. We deeply regret the issues and would like to assure everyone that we will take this issue seriously and work to improve the current situation.”
Konami promises in the announcement that fans will see fix updates starting next week, and that the development team will send questions to gamers to gather more feedback. “We will do our best to please as many gamers as possible and we look forward to your continued support of eFootball 2022,” Konami said.
That’s certainly not what many eFootball fans want to hear, but Konami still doesn’t have the answers to these questions. The company is committed to regularly updating bug fixes. These updates will not only address quality issues but will also continue to roll out content as per the eFootball 2022 roadmap. However, these last efforts that Konami make will not be able to erase the “stain” of eFootball 2022.
