Introducing a new cast of characters in Genshin Impact

There are 5 new characters that will be added to the upcoming Genshin Impact update. Specifically, there are two 4-star and three 5-star characters in the update later this November, including one for free.

Kamisato Ayaka – New free character

According to the brief introduction, Ayaka is the princess of the Kamisato Family, born on September 28. This character uses swords and Cryo elements to fight. She’s the only free five-star character in the new update and is the newest member of the list of Genshin Impact characters you’ll get for free. To unlock Kamisato Ayaka, you need to have an Adventure rating of 42 and complete the main quest in Liyue.

Xinyan – New character in The New Land

Xinyan is a dynamic rock ‘n’ roll musician with dark skin, brown hair in buns and amber eyes. She wields Claymore, controls the Pyro element, and has great defense. Specifically, Xinyan can create a shield to protect himself and his teammates from enemy attacks. The more enemies it encounters, the stronger and bigger the shield will be.

Diona – New member of the Archer family

Young Diona controls the Cryo element and uses a bow and arrow. She is a barista working in Cat’s Tail Bar. Diona will be a powerful supporter for your team, helping your teammates recover their HP and participate in team attacks with the help of Cryo. This is also the 4 star character that you should have in the upcoming update.

Childe – Character that you’ve ever met

Childe (Tartaglia) is the one who saved you in Archon Quest when you were chased by the armed forces in version 1.0. In the coming update, Genshin Impact will officially introduce him as a playable character. Childe is a 5 star character, controlling the element of hydrogen and using a bow as his primary weapon. He is the 7th member of Eleven Fatui Harbingers. This character uses magic arrows to inflict Shear Flow effect towards enemies and defeat them.

Zhongli – New playable character

The last new 5-star character in Genshin Impact 1.1 is Zhongli. He is also the only new character to use Polearm and control the Geo element. Zhongli is a consultant in the Wangsheng Funeral Room. He can create a pillar of stone with Geo power to deal damage to enemies on a large scale, or petrify enemies to kill them quickly. Overall, Zhongli is a strong character that many players desire.
