Intel discrete card performance leak: NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti and AMD RX 6700 approx

With a performance level of approximately NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti and AMD RX 6700, perhaps we have long underestimated Intel’s discrete graphics cards.

Recently, the reputable leaker TUM_APISAK has just dug out some interesting information about the Intel DG2 discrete card, most notably its performance. TUM_APISAK says this is a cut-down version of Intel’s flagship card model.

It has 448 EU cores and 3584 shading units, the GPU chip runs at 1.8GHz. According to the leaker, the Intel DG2 card will have very impressive performance, only 5% behind the RTX 3070 Ti and 8% AMD RX 6700.

In a related development, leaker Moore’s Law is Dead also revealed the performance of the top Intel GPU with 512 EU cores EU and 3584 shading units and clocks up to 2.2GHz. It will have the same performance level as NVIDIA’s RTX 3080 and AMD’s RX 6800/6800 XT.

Intel is expected to launch Xe HPG architecture discrete cards this year. It is highly likely that the mid-range, low-cost graphics cards with high performance on high cost will be released in early 2022.
