The family provided a bank card for the son to pay for school lunches and pocket money but did not understand how he was able to access their savings account. In just 17 days, the kid has baked nearly $20,000 to raise money for famous streamers on Twitch like Tfue, Gorb, and Ewokttv. When the incident broke, the son admitted he knew he had spent a lot of money but did not expect the number to reach 20,000 dollars.

Losing a large amount of money because of this cause, which parents are not crazy. The mother began trying to contact Twitch customer service with the slim hope of getting a refund, but received no response. She then even tried contacting Twitch CEO Emmett Shear and Amazon’s legal team but got the same results.

Luckily for this mother, after posting the story on Reddit, another parent who had experienced the same problem advised her to contact Xsolla, the payment service company that is a partner of Twitch. Thankfully, Xsolla helped her get almost all the money back on the condition that her son’s account would be permanently locked to prevent similar problems from recurring in the future.
