Follow the steps below to remove tags in WordPress:

Step 1: On the WordPress interface, find and click Posts =>Tags.

Step 2: On the next window you will see a list of tags you created earlier, select any tag you want to delete, in this example Food around the world. When hovering over a tag, under the tag name will show several options. Click select Delete as shown in the image below.

When you click Deletea popup window will appear on the screen asking for confirmation of tag removal.

Just click select OK to remove the tag permanently.
