How to read pending messages Message Requests on Facebook

By default, Facebook Messenger will hide the content, do not show message messages from strangers outside the user’s friends list. These messages will be placed in Messager Requests (Message waiting).

Instructions for viewing pending messages on Messager

1. On the website interface
Step 1: Open your web browser and Facebook account login as usual.
Step 2: Left click on the icon Messenger in the upper right corner of the screen.
Click on the item Messager Requests in the drop down menu.

2. On the phone app
Step 1: Open the app Messenger and log into your Facebook account.
Step 2: Click Avatar in the left corner of the screen.
Step 3: Select item Message is waiting .
The system will immediately transfer you to the waiting message archive as shown below.

As mentioned above, waiting messages are caused by strangers actively texting you before the two of you have never made friends. When the message is in this section, the sender will not be able to see the status of the message received by the recipient. You’ll get a normal notification when Accepting a chat or replying to that person’s message without necessarily becoming a Facebook Friend.
