To import a KML file into SketchUp, follow the steps below:

Step 1:Open any web browser on your computer and access an online file storage service, such as Google Docs, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
Step 2: Upload the KML file you want to import, import it into Google SketchUp. Remember to note or copy the URL of the uploaded KML file.
Step 3: Sign in to your Google SketchUp account. Next on the main window, find and click Building Maker and wait for the online application to finish loading.
Step 4: Click select Add KML Overlay located in the bottom left corner of the Building Maker window. At this point, the Add KML Overlay dialog box will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Enter or paste the KML file URL you copied in the previous step into the box Input. Next click select OK to import the KML file into Google SketchUp.
