How to add Friends and manage Friendship in Pokémon Go

Friendship is one of the biggest updates ever seen on the Pokémon Go super-augmented reality game. With it, you can build friendships in the game world. It will give you more Premier Ball for Raid, attack bonus for Gym battles, allow you to trade Pokémon, even receive a Gift containing item, and possibly a whole 7KM Egg containing Alolan Forms.

But Friendship is an investment – you need to invest your time to take it to the next level. Here it is how to add friends and manage Friendship in Pokémon Go.

How to add a Friend to Pokémon Go

Before you can benefit from Friendship, you must add Friends. Pokémon Go offers several ways to do that.

First, you can send someone your Trainer Code.

1. Touch Avatar bottom right corner.
2. Tap tab Friends, is on the upper right (if you haven’t already opened that tab).
3. Touch Add Friend located in the upper center.
4. Touch Share my Trainer Code.
5. Tap the method you want to use for sharing.

You can also touch Copy my Trainer Code and simply paste it wherever you want.

Upon receiving a Friend Request:

1. Touch Avatar button in the lower right corner.
2. Tap on the tab Friends, top right corner (if it is not already open).
3. Touch Add Friend, next “X people sent you Friend Requests“, upper left corner.
4. Touch Accept to add you any or all if desired.

You can delete any unsolicited requests.

If someone sends you Trainer Code:

1. Touch Avatar your.
2. Tap tab Friends.
3. Touch Add Friend.
4. Enter the code Trainer Code.
5. Touch Send.

As soon as they accept and accept your Friend Request, they will appear in your Friends list.

Can your friends see your information?

Friendship levels

There are 5 Friendship levels in Pokémon Go, denoted by the number of hearts in the friend bar (from 0 to 5).

• Bạn bè: Just added. Do you conduct normal transactions (Non-Lengendary, non-Shiny, non-new-for-your-Pokédex.)
• Good Friend: Play together for a day. You can make special deals.
• Great Friend: Play together for 7 days. Slightly down Stardust for trade, +1 Premier Ball for Raids, small attack bonus for Gym.
• Ultra Friend: Play together for 30 days. Moderate Stardust reduction for trades, +1 Premier Ball for Raids, average attack bonus for Gym.
• Best Friend: Play together for 90 days. Huge drop in Stardust for trades, +1 Premier Ball for Raids, great attack bonus for Gym.

How to level up Friendship in Pokémon Go

Playing together will help you level up Friendship. Every day completing one of the last quests friends, you will get closer to the next Friendship level:

1. Send gifts.
2. Trade Pokémon.
3. Join Raid together.
4. Fight in the Gym together.

Damage Raid battles and rewards

With friends participating in Pokemon GO’s Raid battles, both will receive damage buffs, XP rewards and additional Premier balls. But this bonus is quite easy to use. Below is the complete list of rewards corresponding to the friendship level in Pokemon Go.

As you can see, the Pokemon Go rewards players are quite modest, except for XP, which is especially at the best friend level and makes it possible to quickly level up to a trainer faster.

Exchange of gifts
