The Fortnite server is back after a weekly maintenance and the Infinity Gauntlet mode is live. Although before, Epic Games teased the crossover event with images, now we really understand how this mode works.
The way the Infinity Gauntlet works in Fortnite is quite simple. This gauntlet will fall to the ground in a meteor. Any player can pick up the Infinity Gauntlet and transform themselves into Thanos.
As Thanos, you will have 700 HP and 300 Shield, but the health will not heal. However, Thanos can restore shield with every kill.
Players can often attempt to destroy Thanos through the massive arsenal of weapons. Only Thanos owns his own skills including:
- Punch Combo (Combo punch) – A type of punch that can damage an opponent or object in the game
- Smash – Thanos slams into the ground, dealing massive area damage.
- Beam – Gloves that fire an electric beam that deals direct damage to enemies
- Leap (launch) – Thanos can launch into the air and lose no health when falling.
When Thanos is destroyed, the Infinity Gauntlet will drop and anyone can pick it up. That player will turn into Thanos and so on. Like regular Fortnite, Victory Royale is for the last survivor, whether it’s Thanos or the last player to defeat Thanos.

Looks like Epic Games has balanced the Infinity Gauntlet to make the match even. Thanos may have great powers but he can’t build and his location will appear on the map and radar. The other 99 players will know exactly where Thanos is at all times – to plan how to kill or avoid him.
Non-Thanos players will get more loot in the game, more resources to get rarer weapons. Confronting Thanos needs to be fully equipped, and fortunately, it won’t take too long for players to fully equip themselves.
Fortnite fans are enjoying this cross over event, Epic Games said that there will be no additional Avenger skins appearing in the game.
