Beware takes the survival horror genre in a new direction, as the entire game takes place in the car, with you behind the wheel. Enemies will chase you in this open world, chasing you and trying to ram your car out of the way, while the protagonist tries to gather information scattered around his location. Beware has now released a demo demo for everyone to experience.
You can download it here – however, the demo is far from perfect, so game bugs are possible, but overall the game graphics are very well polished. This demo has exactly one mission: you will follow the mysterious character at the edge of the forest. If you want to find out more, people are discussing this quest on the Reddit forum (English and sure will have spoilers).
The discussion on the forum makes the game more tense and scary. People talk about feeling paranoid when they’re driving and know they could get into an escape (among enemies) at any time. The lack of enemies in the game makes the game even scarier, creating horror-movie tension during the climax.
If you want to check it out (but don’t want to play it yourself), check out the 5-minute video that YouTuber Ray Fields posted. The lighting in the game looks great, similar to the water effect on the car windows. And the light reflected from the car following behind in the rearview mirror looks very real and scary.
This game was renamed to BeWare- formerly known as Driving Survival. The game has no release date yet.
