Once in each generation, the Troll clans of Azeroth gather to receive blessings from Loa and King Rastakhan. Non-stop matches are the basis of Rastkhan’s Rumble. This is the next expansion of Hearthstone was revealed at the opening ceremony of BlizzCon.
9 teams will participate in Troll’s latest Rastkhan’s Rumble event, each class in Hearthstone will be represented by a Legendary Troll Champion. Loa, the ancestral spirits worshiped by Trolls, will join the fight as Legendary minions. Shirvallah the Tiger is Paladin Loa, costing 25-mana to use. You can reduce mana-cost by casting spells.
Rastakhan also added a new minion called Spirits, which aids players with “impressive effects combined with Speakers”. At BlizzCon 2018, we saw the Spirit of the Shark card. This is a 0/3 Rogue minion that, like all Spirits, Stealth for 1 turn. It has a passive effect that makes the Battlecry and Combo cards activate twice. Spirit of the Shark costs 4 mana and reminds you of the old Brann Bronzebeard.
The new Overkill system will reward players based on the amount of residual damage you deal to enemy minions. Let’s take a look at the 4/4 Sul’thraze weapon. If you deal over damage (ie 3 health minion, but kill it with 4 damage), the Overkill bonus will allow you to attack again – and you can do that to clear the whole table if you continue to deal damage Overkill for the enemy minions.
Rastkhan adds 135 new cards as well as a solo adventure mode called Rumble Run for players to battle against the most powerful Troll champions.
Prior to the expansion’s release, players could pre-order a 17-pack Challenger bundle, which includes the Ready to Rumble! card pack, for $20.
Or the 50-pack Rumble Bundle, which comes with a new Shaman Hero called King Rastakhan, for $50.
Hearthstone: Rastakhan’s Rumble will air on December 4. Full details can be found at rastakhansrumble.com.
