Halo Infinite set a record within 24 hours of release on Steam

Halo Infinite became Xbox Game Studios’ most successful product of all time on Steam.

According to the latest Steamchart statistics, within the first 24 hours of launch, Halo Infinite has collected 272,586 players with a CCU (the highest player at a time) of 162,000. This achievement makes Halo Infinite the most successful Xbox Game Studios product of all time on Steam.

Halo Infinite released on Steam includes 2 Campaign versions (story mode) priced at VND 990,000 and Multiplayer (online multiplayer mode) completely free. The Multiplayer section supports many gamers participating in an arena. There are 2 basic modes: Arena (4vs4 team competition) and Big Team Battle.

Meanwhile with the story play, the main character Master Chief will return with the greatest adventure that is to save humanity. The plot of the game will be more human, when Master Chief plays a more central role than in previous versions. The story will revolve around the mysteriously damaged Halo ring and also introduce the design of Master Chief’s MJOLNIR armor. The Banished, a group of violent mercenaries that broke away from their previous group and befriended aliens, believed to be the enemies of humanity.

Halo Infinite’s success proved right when Microsoft and Valve joined hands. Back in mid-2019, when Microsoft announced it was working with Steam, they planned to bring many Xbox Game Studios games to Steam. That means these games will no longer be exclusive to the Microsoft Store. In return, Steam will have to give Microsoft many big incentives. This move shows that Microsoft is really wanting to shake hands with Steam to create an alliance capable of dominating the gaming world.

“Our aim is to make Xbox Game Studios PC games available in more places on the game world map. We believe you should be very selective with your PC game publishing platforms,” said Phil Spencer, head of Xbox.

With the most outstanding and unique games currently being Halo Infinite, hopefully Xbox Game Studios and Steam will continue to bring the gaming community more quality products.
