Halo Infinite Multiplayer is officially open for free

The description of Halo Infinite multiplayer reads as follows: “To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Halo franchise, the multiplayer beta of Halo Infinite will be open for free on Xbox and PC. Start your Spartan journey today with Season 1, Heroes of Reach, and stay tuned for upcoming limited-time events and exclusive in-game rewards.”

The kickoff of the first season of Halo Infinite multiplayer comes right before the launch of the single-player campaign (released on December 8). This season will last until May 2022 – the length has been extended from the original plan (previously, each season was planned to run for three months). 343 Industries said the above duration is to ensure that Season 2 will meet high quality standards and that the team can complete the development of Season 2 in a healthy and sustainable way.

Players who log in to Halo Infinite for the first week will unlock a free bonus pack of commemorative themed fashion items. On November 23, the opening event of Season 1 – Fracture: Tenrai will begin, giving players the chance to receive samurai armor and other custom items.
