Cayo Perico is the first solo robbery in GTA Online

Performing the heist is a great way to make money in GTA Online, however, you have to rely on others to do it. This makes executing this mission really annoying at times, as not everyone is always ready to play or competent enough to stop the heist. On the other hand, you can do the Cayo Perico heist alone or with 4 other players.

Cayo Perico is the first slot released outside of Los Santos

None of the previous GTA games had any DLC that took place outside of the main city. Normally, Rockstar will just add new buildings and structures on the old map instead of creating a new one. In this heist in GTA Online, players can somewhat explore the new island of Cayo Perico. Stunning location – unlike anything you’ve seen before in this hit Street Robbery series.

After a while the clock will stop

Apparently, the heist lasted only for the classic 7 hours. After 7 hours, time will stop. If the player chooses the daytime approach, the mission will be from 12:00 to 19:00. If they choose the night approach, the mission will begin at 22:00 and last until 05:00.

This means that the overall surroundings and NPC habits won’t suddenly change.

Two new unlockable weapons

Players will be able to unlock two new weapons after completing Cayo Perico: Perico Pistol and Combat Shotgun. Perico Pistol is in a locked drawer in El Rubio’s office. To unlock it, you need a random key in San Andreas.

Combat Shotgun spawns randomly during this heist. Unlike the Perico pistol, the player cannot keep it after the theft, but must purchase it in Ammu-nation.

The appearance of animals

When GTA 5 having animals, Rockstar removed them completely from GTA Online for some reason. Normally, the player can only see an animal if they use the Peyote Plant to transform themselves. Oddly enough, some animals reappeared in Cayo Perico.

The first is El Rubio’s leopard, which can be found in a cage next to English Dave. Panther is harmless – it poses no danger to the player at all. The second is a white whale that sometimes occurs in the northeast of the island. Its occurrence frequency is about 50%.
