Android games are now officially available on PC with Windows 11 operating system.
Android games are now officially available on PC as Google just rolled out a beta version of its new Play Games app for Windows, starting with gamers in select regions.
In recent years, Google has worked hard to make the technology around your life work better together, especially by syncing your information between devices. Google embraces an ambitious endeavor: “ambient computing,” or rather, do whatever you want from whatever device you have.
While we can often think of this in terms of doing complex things on simple devices like smart speakers, it can also work differently. From now on, Google Play Games has become a prime example of this, allowing you to easily play many of your favorite games on your Android phone from the comfort of your desktop or laptop computer. Of course, these PCs are more powerful and can also be easier to manipulate in games than phones.
As announced back in December during The Game Awards, Google is now offering a beta version of Play Games as a client to download games to a Windows PC. Importantly, these games will automatically sync your progress between your Android phone, tablet, PC, and any other device signed into Play Games.
Currently, there is only a limited library of games available for beta testers to play. Game developers are encouraged to optimize their games for this new platform, including adding support for full keyboard and mouse play instead of touchscreens. While no official list has been shared yet, 12 different titles have been featured in different parts of the new video.
– Asphalt 9: Legends
– Cookie Run: Kingdom
– Cookie Run: Ovenbreak
– Dragon Mania Legends
– Gardenscapes
– Homescapes
– Idle Heroes
– Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
– State of Survival: The Joker Collaboration
– Summoners War
– ・戰略版 (Three Kingdoms Tactics)
– Top War: Battle Game
Currently, the Play Games beta on Windows PC is currently only available to gamers in South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, but Google says it will expand to more regions soon. If you are interested in Google Play Games, you can visit here to learn more.
