GeT_RiGhT revealed he was infected with COVID-19 at Flashpoint Season 1

Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund had a very bad time at Flashpoint Season 1.

It wasn’t due to his poor 10th place result when he reunited with his former Ninja in Pajamas teammates. According to this lurker legend, GeT_RiGhT at the time of attending Flashpoint was infected with COVID-19.

GeT_RiGhT does not know when he contracted the coronavirus, but the former major champion said he believes he was infected while in the US. During his time in the country, he said he had all the symptoms of COVID-19 and “never felt so ill in my life”. He played while ill, and his performance was of course affected.

Dignitas failed to make it into the Flashpoint Season 1 playoffs, only reaching a disappointing 10th place.

Along with GeT_RiGhT’s health problems, the team was forced to substitute. Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli was unable to compete in the tournament due to visa problems. While Dignitas found a replacement in Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács, the team did not have time to prepare.

GeT_RiGhT did not say how he was infected and it is not clear what precautions he took when he developed symptoms. He said he was quarantined for more than a month when he returned to Sweden.

COVID-19 is not the only reason for GeT_RiGhT at Dignitas

Although many months are no longer infected with COVID-19, GeT_RiGhT has not been able to compete at the current peak performance. He said on Twitter that he is having difficulty with his hands, affecting his performance:

The good news is that GeT_RiGhT is getting the help she needs and working with her doctor to figure out the problem and how to fix it. He thanked his former team-mate and current coach Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson for helping him put everything in its rightful place.

GeT_RiGhT will have a good chance of recovery. Most of the top CSGO teams are taking a break during July, and Dignitas is among them. If GeT_RiGhT can restore health, Dignitas could be stronger than what fans witnessed in early 2020.
