A very special version of Nintendo Switch.
Making “super giant” versions of consoles is nothing new when we already have PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X with extremely large sizes. However, it is extremely meaningful for gamers to create giant versions of their own, to give to children in a children’s hospital. That’s what YouTuber Michael Pick has done and caught the attention of the gaming community.
Posting on YouTube yesterday, user Michael Pick showed the world his crafting prowess by creating a “super giant” version of the Nintendo Switch handheld console. It measures 70 x 30 inches and weighs about 30kg, Michael Pick said that the size of this super-sized Switch is 650 percent larger than a regular Nintendo Switch.
This super-large version of the Switch can work properly when it contains the components that make up a basic Switch. The regular-sized microchip is housed inside a 3D-printed stand that uses physical levers to push buttons as people press the buttons on this super-large Switch. In addition, the super-large Switch also has a screen with 4K resolution, for an extremely beautiful gaming experience. It is considered the largest Nintendo Switch release in the world.
Perhaps the most amazing thing about his giant Switch is that it’s not something he intended to keep to himself. At the end of the video, he announced that he created it as a donation to Children’s Hospital in St. Jude. What Pick did was show the world that it’s not only possible to create a super-sized version of the Nintendo Switch console that’s fun to play, but still works well, but gamers in general aren’t always join the community for their own selfish gain. It’s great to see charity projects like this being carried out in the gaming community.
The Nintendo Switch has now sold 79.87 million units worldwide, so Pick’s choice to remake a giant Nintendo Switch for kids was the perfect one. Perhaps someone out there will decide to recreate the PlayStation or Xbox to go with it – or perhaps one day it will be done by Pick himself!
