Game developer unexpectedly retired early after LGBTQ+ community discrimination controversy

Recently independent developer Scott Cawthon – the creator of the popular game series Five Nights at Freddy’s has suddenly announced his early retirement. It is known that this decision of Scott was made after controversy with the community LGBTQ+ in recent times.​

On his personal page, Scott Cawthon writes:

Not long ago, Scott Cawthon came under fire when his financial records were leaked showing he had donated to many controversial US politicians, including former president Donald. Trump for many years. While Scott has always insisted that he loves the LGBTQ+ community, the politicians he supports are those who oppose it. Many LGBTQ+ members have demanded an apology from Scott, and some extremists have even posted threatening comments on Scott Cawthon’s Twitter. Worried about his pregnant wife, Scott decided to retire early to avoid the storm of public opinion.​
