Season 5 has just begun in Fortnite, with plenty of things for players to unlock whether they have a Battle Pass or not. Now, a new update has just been added to the game, which includes several new weapons for both Battle Royale and Save The World modes.
Epic has published details of the Fortnite update on its website. Two new weapons have been added to the game, while an old one has been temporarily removed. The Tactical Submachine Gun (SMG) from Battle Royale is a Vault item that will have a new SMG in its place. Save The World also adds a Typewriter Assault Rifle – it will be added to the Weekly Store from July 18.
The new SMG comes in three forms: common, uncommon, and rare with base damage ranging from 19-21 and has a 30-round magazine. It can be picked up in loot areas as well as chests. The new SMG will use Light (lightweight) ammunition.
Typewriter Assault Rifle for Save The World closely resembles the Drum Gun in Battle Royale. This gun looks like the Tommy Gun of the old decades with a large round magazine. The Typewriter will have a large magazine and a high rate of fire, making it easier to take down a large group of enemies.
Along with those weapons, another small change has also appeared in the game. Semi Automatic Sniper Rifle in Battle Royale damage buffed from 63/66 to 75/78. Epic also announced that Save The World mode is on sale until July 30. For those who want to experience the campaign mode in the game can buy it for 50% less, which means the Standard Founder’s Pack is $20. while Deluxe is $30. You can read the full update details here.
