With the Avengers: Infinity War event in Fortnite just over, Fortnite has announced via an in-game update screen the upcoming arrival of the Burst Assault Rifle Epic and Legendary weapons.
The Burst Assault Rifle is the next gun to be updated with a new level since the first one, the Light Machine Gun, which has a faster rate of fire and more ammunition than the Burst Assault Rifle. but in return, the accuracy and firing distance of the new gun is better. With Epic Games finally adding new items to the game as the weeks go by, the studio ensures players always have something new to experience, including the demolished Dusty Depot and the arrival of weightless rocks.
Currently, the official information we have about the Burst Assault Rifle is that it is in the Epic and Legendary segments – similar to the silencer and heavy shotgun – two upgraded versions of the weapons already present in the game.
However, the Fortnite Tracker app shows the Burst Assault Rifle’s damage stats, with the Epic dealing 32 damage if shot in the body and 64 in the head, and the Legendary dealing 33 damage to the body, 66 damage to head in each bullet. Although the damage of this new gun falls short of the damage of the Assault Rifle in the Epic and Legendary segments – the ability to fire 3 rounds in a row will definitely increase the damage per second.
Given the presence of the new gun in Fortnite’s massive arsenal, the question is whether any weapons will be sent to the Vault to make way for the new one. Sometimes new weapons are added without losing any guns. This can be the case with the Burst Assault Rifle, where the Season 4 update brought the crossbow gun into the Vault without adding any new weapons.
