Epic Games just announced the next phase of its esports program. Fortnite’s Winter Royale event will have a $1,000,000 prize pool and is open to everyone.

OPEN TEAM – FORTNITE $1,000,000 WINTER ROYALE
The Online Tournament system will be used next year to determine contestants for the Fortnite World Cup. Starting this month, Epic Games will host a test event to build the World Cup qualifiers. This will help Epic Games collect valuable information to prepare well for next year.
The Solo event will consist of two parts, the Winter Royale Qualifier and the Winter Finals Finals, with a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
You will have many opportunities to participate and get high scores during the days of the Winter Royale qualifiers. Only the highest score you get during the event time will count, so do your best! All in preparation for the Fortnite World Cup, Winter Royale will use the same configuration as the Pop-Up Cup.
The top players in each of North America and Europe will be confirmed, and qualified players will be invited to the Winter Royale finals in their respective regions. While the tournament is limited to North America and Europe, Epic Games is planning to host tournaments in other regions in the near future.
