In 2016, Twitch issued a permanent ban on streamer famous James”Phantoml0rd” Varga. The real reason behind the ban has never been made public. The lawsuit further states that the ban stemmed from “false, unfounded allegations about Varga made by a third party to publicly disparage Varga and exploit his popularity.”

According to the lawsuit, Varga was not informed of the reason for the suspension until January 2017, when a Twitch employee told him it was due to fake channel subscribers. However, the real problem lies in the amount of non-game related content being streamed by Varga, including the CS:GO skins betting site, which violates the content guidelines.

Twitch filed a lawsuit a few months later, countering Varga’s allegation that the streamer had been warned for violations several times over about a year before being banned. banned from operation.
