fnatic has announced possession of the signature of Richard “Xizt” Landström from FaZe and will replace Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson immediately.
The 27-year-old will take on the new IGL role at fnatic, and Golden – who was promoted from the 2nd team – will move into the entry-fragger position.
This means that Lekr0’s journey with fnatic is over. With Xizt present, he will be benched due to internal problems. Golden was brought to fnatic from Godsent less than a year ago.
During this period, Golden helped the team win IEM Katowice and WESG World Finals. The last time he appeared with fnatic was at IEM Sydney, where the team finished 5-6 when they lost to the new king FaZe.
In the announcement, fnatic stated they were looking for options for Lekr0 and thanked the player for his contribution to his organization.
Xizt has long been on fnatic’s radar and almost signed with the organization in March to replace Golden. The mission didn’t work out when Golden was given a second chance, and Xizt joined FaZe to replace olofmeister during the player’s time off.
In the latest interview from HLTV, the former NiP member revealed that he wants to become IGL again and confirmed that FaZe is just his temporary stop.
He returned to the organization he represented in 1.6 years between 2010 and 2012. During this time fnatic’s memorable victories include the IEM V European Championship Finals, DreamHack Winter 2011 and Copenhagen Games 2012. .
ANNOUNCEMENT: We can today announce the return of @OfficialXizt to Fnatic!
His arrival sees @Lekr0cs move to a substitute position.
