Fix the fog bug for GTA, gamers take full 230 million

Recently modder of the GTA 5 is that t0st discovered a bottleneck in the PC version of GTA Online, making loading of the standby screen take so long that it makes players angry. By fixing this bug, t0st has received a thank you and an ideal bounty from the game’s developer – Rockstar Games.​

T0st said that its fix has helped reduce screen loading time by 70%, which is a simple error and even takes less than a day to fix it. We don’t know if it’s because Rockstar Games didn’t detect this bug or didn’t consider it an important issue that let players endure it all this time.

Although he did not confirm whether the 70% figure given by t0st is accurate or not, the “father” of GTA also announced that he will launch t0st’s fix in the next GTA Online update. As a result, t0st also received a bonus of 10,000 USD (equivalent to 230 million) for solving the problem that existed for the past 6 years of the game.​

It is known that the prize money won for t0st is extracted from the Bug Bounty fund established by Rockstar Games. Previously, this fund often focused on awarding fixes around security issues, not actual problems in the game like this time, It seems that t0st has become an exception for Rockstar Games.​
