Fix error of failing to enter Windows after updating League of Legends

After users updated the game League of Legends to a new version (October 23 – 24), in many cases, it was impossible to log into the computer. So where is the reason? Why is there such an error? How to prepare?

If you’ve finished updating League of Legends but haven’t got an error, you can access the directory C: windows system32 drivers, press Ctrl + F to find and delete files gaprotect.sys.

If the computer cannot boot successfully, continue:

For Windows 7 / XP:

Step 1: Restart the device, and press the key repeatedly F8 to enter Advanced Boot Options. Choose to enter Safe Mode to access safe mode.

Step 2: Then choose Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.

For Windows 8/10:

Step 1: Hold down Shift key continuously when restarting the machine. After entering the menu Recovery, choose Advanced Boot Options> Troubleshoot.

Step 2: Next, click Advanced Options, choose Startup Settings.

Step 3: Next Restart the computer.

Step 4: After restarting the device will display this panel, click F4 to enter Safe Mode.

Step 5: After entering Windows in Safe Mode, access the folder C: windows system32 drivers and delete gaprotect.sys.

Alternatively, you can update the League of Legends patch, but not Windows 10 patch 1709 if you still want to play the game.
