First impressions of the new PUBG map ‘SAVAGE’

Cybergamer has obtained the Beta key to test the new PUBG map, codenamed ‘SAVAGE’. Here are their experiences after a few matches!

You can sign up for the Beta test by going to the website. A limited number of beta keys are waiting for you after linking the Steam profile. When I installed and joined the Experimental Test Server (test server), I received dozens of BP points, crates, and keys to play and try on skins.

After going through the gun skins, I boarded the plane to go to SAVAGE. The pre-match waiting area is colorful with tropical forests, heavily influenced by Southeast Asian regions.

After waiting, I was on the plane and got my first glimpse of SAVAGE overhead. The new map is much smaller than Erangel and Mirarmar because the area is only 4x4km, and the difference in size can be seen very clearly. You can land almost any area on the map, no matter which direction the plane flies in.

SAVAGE is full of complexes and small towns to encourage exploration. With diverse terrain there are many interesting spots to move. Meanwhile, the lack of big cities makes the run-and-shoot trend more popular. It is difficult to compare with Fortnite. But we can say that, in terms of gameplay, this map has a Casual experience similar to Fortnite when it comes to more action.

Similarly, the weapon drops are more dense than other PUBG maps and they have a lot of quality loot. The first item I picked up was level 3 armor, along with an assault rifle. But we need to note that these loot will easily change in the near future, as the map is still in development (if you pay attention, you will see some houses that are still not finished graphically). . However, having good weapons will encourage people to go to war more, exactly what SAVAGE was created for.
