Female player Juliano shares the reason why female CS is far behind men

Women's CSGO

After the community’s complaints about the performance of the female CSGO team Besiktas Esports at DreamHack Rotterdam, captain Julia “juliano” Kiran took to Twitter to share the reason for the disparity between the women’s and men’s arenas.

Don’t get me wrong, female CSGO is extremely competitive. Teams like Besiktas, CLG Red, Copenhagen, Flames and Dignitas are constantly battling each other for the top spots in women’s events.

Most recently, Besiktas beat CLG Red at the DreamHack Valencia Showdown, taking home $50,000 and earning a spot at DreamHack Open Rotterdam.

Unfortunately in Rotterdam, the performance of the female players was completely inferior to the men’s teams. Besiktas lost all three maps comprehensively to AVANGAR and Hard Legion Esports. As always, people took to Reddit and HLTV to criticize and poke fun at the female CSGO scene. As a result, Besiktas captain Juliano took to Twitter to reveal why there is such a gap between the two sides.

She writes, “It is scientifically proven that the male brain has better hand-eye coordination and faster decision making, so I don’t understand why people keep saying ‘don’t blame the body’. .”

It’s like men and women don’t compete together in traditional sports, due to differences in size, speed and form. Juliano thinks that women’s brains and men’s brains are vastly different, and that’s why male brains are better at games like Counter-Strike.

Many studies have shown this difference. According to Columbia University’s “A Brain Divided” study, men have better eye-hand coordination and space, as well as better sense of direction and more precise muscle movement.

This is not to say that there are no women competing at the same high level as men, and this is also the point that Juliano makes. Even female players competing at the highest level of professionalism are still not invited to compete with men in the highest arena, including her.

Juliano said she was never invited to join a mix team, and even when the opportunity to compete with male players appeared, she said there were professional and semi-pro players who didn’t want to play with their teammates. female.

Juliano pointed out another problem is that this disrespect comes not only from professional players but also from the community, and female players have to deal with a double-edged sword. Female players are pressured to compete against men to prove they are good enough, and are immediately ‘trash talk’ when they fail.

Whether the solution is to widen the playing field for women, or to create more ‘mix teams’ in CSGO (male and female in the same team), female CSGO still has a long way to go to earn the respect. they deserve it.
