Fallout 76 will have a season pass from this summer

Bethesda has announced its 2020 roadmap for Fallout 76, sharing plans for the rest of the year. The game will have a new storyline including the Brotherhood of Steel, a balance of the battle system so that players can easily coordinate with each other despite the difference in levels, and the presence of season passes.

“We’ll be adopting a ‘Season Pass’ style system that’s specifically designed for Fallout 76,” Bethesda said. But it won’t be much different from everything Red Dead Online until Destiny 2: You complete activities, accumulate points, level up, and receive rewards.

The main difference lies in the summer pass: it will be free for all. Everyone can get all the rewards, including a special bundle at the end of the season. You mostly have to do it by completing challenges: it can be as simple as completing an event or leveling up.

You can spend 150 Atoms to level up immediately, but can only do so after the first two weeks of the season. Bethesda said the company wants to make sure every player has an equal start. The game will take one to two hours to level up, and there are 100 levels for you to freely plow. They will last about 10 weeks, with four seasons per year.

It seems that players will be very busy in this season pass plowing journey. Furthermore, since the first season pass will be free, we don’t know if Bethesda will continue this in the future.

The season will be available in Update 20 this summer, along with new high-level perks, new boss events, and public teams. You can read the details of how the system works in the FAQ section of the website.
