1. Bel’s Wrath

Vallenhas’ saving of the poor souls brought greater enemies and The Rage of Bel was introduced in the first episode of Neverwinter. The broken chains at the Infernal Citadel caught Zariel’s attention and sent his lieutenant, Bel, to destroy anyone who stood in her way. Defeating Bel will also pave the way for you to face the ultimate evil.

In the relatively safe Stronghold’s Great Hall of Vallenhas, you once again work with Makos and a new ally, Lulu. After defeating Bel, you will have an overview of what it would be like to face Zariel. Lulu will seek an alternative: bring back what was once pure in Zariel and oversee the rescue of this fallen angel.

2. Going through the wilderness

The first location of Nine Hells is a desolate wasteland, but there are still people willing to help you. They are the ones who have spent millennia trying to destroy this evil fortress. Although small in number, they will assist you in fighting the enemies of this domain.

For help, Makos introduces you to the characters of the scrap yards near Fort Knucklebone, where the Mad Maggie gang builds and repairs combat vehicles. You will be taught how to use the Infernal Warmachine. These metal vehicles help you navigate safely through the wasteland and are also quite useful when you run through the people of the area. Learn how to operate this machine and turn on the radio as you make your way to Mahadi’s Wandering Emporium!

3. Go on a campaign, fight heroes and win rewards

Fighting demons and restoring Lulu’s memories is an important part of the new campaign, but finding treasure and rewards will take up their time. The big and small confrontations will also create challenges in the adventure journey. In these battles, the player will face various threats from Avernus, which are both monsters and machines.

In addition, you are also provided with a map for you to easily search for treasures in this hellish place. Discover new and valuable equipment, including the weapons used by Avernus’s Defense Corps.

For those who want to continue using armor to protect Vallenhas, you can upgrade this equipment in Avernus. Search for villains and finishers across these cruel lands to increase your stats and fend off demons.

4. Zariel Challenge Trial

Nevewinter: Avernus allows players a completely new experiment that is Zariel’s Challenge – where players must fight Zariel to capture her sword. The game released two test versions, the traditional challenge version and the story mode version. With the story mode version, players will focus on storytelling and story development instead of the usual combat mechanics.

Upon successful combat, the demons will destroy themselves and will reward you with a new Celestial weapon set, a Glorious Light artifact set, and an adorable (non-chicken) pet.
