Empire 4 is in beta – Release date not far away?

World’s Edge studio head Shannon Loftis shared in the year-end update on the progress of the projects. Age of Empiresincluding the fourth game as follows: “I don’t want to make you jealous but we’re actually playing Empire 4 every day both in Washington and in Vancouver.”

Empire 4 is currently in the playable stage. Of course, that doesn’t mean the game is about to release. Loftis went on to explain that: “RTS development is pretty funny: it takes a while to build separate systems (AI, money, sims, rendering, etc.) to combine all of the above elements. But once you’re done, you’ll have a game – a game that needs bug fixes, gameplay balance, and finishing touches. And best of all, that product. feels like Empire.”

Empire 4 is being made by Relic Entertainmenta studio that is trying to assert itself after Dawn of War 3. Empire 4 can include many historical periods and characteristic architectures.

The update also announces the release date of Lords of the West’s expansion pack Empire 2. According to the Age of Empires website, the expansion will be available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Game Pass on January 26.
