Dying Light has come a spectacular way. The game launched in early 2015 and received respectable reviews, but it is the unwavering support of Techland with a steady stream of updates, new content and even a complete spin-off that really makes Dying Light stand out. However, every story comes to an end and Dying Light is no exception: Last update of the game that was released on Steam.
The update is largely focused on DLC Hellraid with the familiar dark fantasy theme and gameplay tweaks, economy, difficulty adjustment, new tutorial screen, and a host of other bug fixes. Hellraid also introduces a new saw blade weapon, sound effects, and a few map and mission tweaks.
In addition, a new Dying Light content pack called Dieselpunk Bundle, which includes a Gut Render chainsaw and a Flesh Ripper saw blade, will also be available in this update. Dieselpunk Bundle also features a Greaser SMG, a Punk’d Beret skin, and a Rugged Roadmaster skin with a 50% reduction in fuel usage. The Dieselpunk bundle is available now for $3/ £2/ €3 on Steam.
Techland’s final gift to all Dying Light owners will be the automatic upgrade of the game to the Enhanced Edition. This version will unlock free expansions including The following, Bozak Horde, Cuisine and Cargo, Ultimate Survivor Bundle and Crash Test Skin Bundle. This may be the motivation to attract old players back to Dying Light for a while.
