DrDisrespect is permanently banned on Twitch

In the latest shocking news, Rod “Slasher” Breslau said that popular Twitch streamer DrDisrespect has been banned from the streaming platform forever.

While many immediately assumed it could be due to DMCA (piracy), Slasher’s next tweet quelled that rumor. “It’s not the DMCA,” he said.

Guy Beahm, aka DrDisrepect is one of the most popular faces on Twitch in recent years. However, this streamer sometimes causes drama.

He was banned in 2019 for intentionally going to the toilet during a livestream at the E3 Los Angeles Convention event.

While there is no official confirmation, many speculate that it is related to the recent news of sexual assault and harassment in the esports and gaming industry in general. If this information is confirmed, he will join the list of famous streamers, casters and faces in the industry accused of this.

Shannon Liao, CNN’s game journalist, said she received the notification from Twitch. Twitch writes, “In the course of our work, we make the right decision when we receive evidence that a streamer has violated our Terms of Service or Code of Conduct. This applies to all streamers regardless of their status or popularity in the community.

Update 2:

In addition, another well-known face in the industry, ShannonZKiller, also said that according to her source, DrDispect was banned but shared that it does not only happen on Twitch. While she couldn’t share why, she said “it’s very serious”.
