DragonBall FighterZ got off to a strong start, consistently breaking sales records for the franchise and earning rave reviews. A few weeks later, the game struggled to retain players, with the PC gaming community dwindling by about 80%. However, some of those players will probably return soon, as the first two DLC characters have been revealed.
According to the latest issue of V-Jump in Japan, the first two DLC characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ are Broly and Bardock. Unfortunately, we still don’t know a release date, and it’s still unclear how much each of these characters will cost to buy separately as they’re currently part of a season pass that costs $34.99.
For those unfamiliar with Dragon Ball Z, Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan that has appeared in several Dragon Ball Z movies. Because the character is not in the story, Broly is not part of the main plot, but still is considered one of the most famous villains in Dragon Ball Z thanks to his tremendous power.
Bardock is Goku’s father, although he is not as strong as his son. With his appearance as we see it, Bardock looks almost identical to Goku, except for the large scar on his cheek and he usually wears the same armor as Frieza’s soldiers.
The fact that Bardock and Broly are confirmed to appear on Dragon Ball FighterZ coincides with the datamine content predicted for the characters in the DLC. With this information, we can guarantee that the following DLC characters will include Zamasu, Vegito, Cooler and Ranger Android 17.
This also means that new game modes will also appear in Dragon Ball FighterZ. In the previous datamine, two modes were mentioned with the names Z Union and Z League, but not yet announced by the publisher. Information about new modes and DLC characters in the game is expected to be announced soon.
Dragonball FighterZ is available now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
