Dr Disrespect is officially back to streaming on YouTube

After being mysteriously banned without explanation on Twitch on June 26, Dr Disrespect is finally back on stream, but this time on YouTube.

Dr Disrepect opened up on Instagram live recently, to let fans know that he will be back to stream. After that Instgram stream, he released a song called “Red Skies” before officially returning to YouTube later that day.

Then, Dr Disrespect added a $4.99 “Join” button to his YouTube channel – the paid version of YouTube is like Subscribe to Twitch. Dr Disrespect’s YouTube stream is not an official YouTube partner, according to a journalist Rod “Slasher” Breslau given.

Since being banned in June, Dr Disrespect has always hinted that he will return to stream. On July 16, Doc changed the link on his Twitter page from Twitch to YouTube, indicating he would be migrating to the invite platform. The next day, Dr Disrepect posted his first YouTube videos in three weeks anonymously.

While his Twitch ban was permanent, Twitch did not share the reason for the decision. Before being banned, Dr Disrespect had more than 4 million followers on Twitch.

Dr Disrespect spoke up after a period of silence with two interviews with The Washington Post and PC Gamer on July 16. In the interview, he said he didn’t know why Twitch banned him. In the same interview, he said he has no intention of returning to Twitch and is considering legal action with Twitch.

In the interview, he declined to talk about speculations as to why he was banned. However, he mentioned that he found the reason for the ban in the last livestream.

Dr Disrespect is one of the most successful early streamers, with gameplay commentary first appearing since January 2010. Many of his videos appear at the height of online gaming content, the Machinima YouTube channel. In 2011, he took over as community manager at Sledgehammer Games, which was the team that developed Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare at the time, and he held the position for many years.

His Twitch channel gained traction in 2015, enough that Dr Disrespect decided to leave Sledgehammer and start a full-time streaming career. He was a huge success as a streamer and won the Streamer of the Year award from the Esports Industry Awards 2017 and 2019. The streamer was implicated in many controversies, including taking a break from streaming due to cheating on his wife in 2017 and being temporarily banned on the internet. Twitch do stream in public toilets at E3 2019. Even so, Doc still has a huge loyal fan base, which he named Champions Club.
