Dota Auto Chess: Instructions for placing the basic chess pieces

Assassin

In general, when placing assassins behind or on either side of the board, they won’t be rushed directly by the opponent, and can easily jump behind your team’s board.

Note that you need some buffalo heroes up front, before you buy the assassins. Otherwise, the assassins will jump behind and be attacked by multiple enemies at once, and soon fall off their horses.

Ranged Unit (ranged)

If you have mage, healer, archer, you usually want to put them in the back. That will help them to be protected by the hero tanks in front so they can attack unhindered.

Do you have them clustered at an angle. Place the tanks in the outer circle, followed by the weak pieces in the inner circle.

That way, you not only limit the direction of your opponent’s attack, but also force them to get through the “outer ring” first, while taking extra damage from the inside.

Make the most of the chess pieces
