The commitment to Dota 2 of the Four Angry Men organization is not going well and there are no positive signs in the coming days, Elephant.4AM is really in trouble.
Elephant.4AM was forced to use a substitute in the CDA-FDC Professional Championship Season 2. This happened because Vici Gaming pulled Zhang “Eurus” Chengjunn from the roster due to unpaid transfer fees.
“During the transfer period of this season, Vici Gaming did not reach a consensus with Elephant on the transfer of Eurus. Due to careful consideration of the players, we brought Eurus to 4AM to practice and compete… After the last talk between the two sides, before Elephan paid the transfer fee for Eurus, Eurus was unable to play for the player. teams at tournaments during this time,’ Vici Gaming said.
With Eurus not playing at the moment, Zhou “Yang” Haiyang had to move from offlane to carry, and Ru “RedPanda” Zhiha changed from hard support to offlane. Elephant.4AM coach Chen “Xz” Zezhi had to take on the role of hard support to complete the roster.
Here is Elephant.4AM’s current lineup and possibly for the foreseeable future:
- Zhou “Yang” Haiyang
- Lu “Somnus” Yao
- Ru “RedPanda” Zhihao
- Xu “fy” Linsen
- Chen “Xz” Zezhi
The announcement from Vici Gaming added fuel to Elephant.4AM’s unsatisfactory start. Although the original team looked very strong, the organization was criticized by fans and Dota 2 pros.
This conflict was sparked when Four Angry Men announced that Liu “Sylar” Jiajun would be the carry on the original lineup and Bai “rOtK” Fan would not be the team coach. Rumors have long suggested that rOtK and Eurus are expected to be in the starting lineup. Therefore, fans are surprised and disappointed when this does not happen. rOtK talks about the failed negotiations between 4AM and Vici Gaming, as well as his career falling into a stalemate due to the collapse of the deal.

Things slowly got worse after that. Sylar cannot play for Elephan.4AM. He was dropped from the team less than a day later to make way for Eurus. Sylar was acquired due to 4AM’s financial inability to transfer Eurus to Vici Gaming. It seemed that the matter was over when Eurus joined, but Vici Gaming said that they only let him play because of his favor (not 4AM who had completed the transfer fee).
Four Angry Men was previously criticized for being unprofessional in the way the Dota 2 lineup was run, but things did not stop there.
Four Angry Men and Elephant Controversy Around Elephant.4AM
According to VP Esports, the two sides in Elephant.4AM may be separated. The Four Angry Men are famous mainly for their PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds lineup. As for the Chinese talent recruitment and media company, Elephant.Bgoose, has long been involved in running the Dota 2 team. The two sides may go their separate ways, based on accusations from the two companies.
The two sides criticized each other that the other side did not fulfill the financial responsibility in the transfer fee of Eurus. 4AM said that “Elephant’s payment for the cooperation is still lacking, and the two sides have not successfully negotiated a plan to operate the Dota 2 project”.
Elephant also responded, saying that they are the one to pay for all costs related to the team so far.
In the words of 4AM suggesting that the organization could drop Dota 2. No matter how the situation is resolved, the Elephan.4AM deal is a real mess.
