Dota 2: Nigma leaves the Minor game with an unbelievable throw against Alliance

Alliance just defeated Nigma 3-2 in the StarLadders ImbaTV Minor regional final, under the DPC framework.

The series between Nigma and Alliance lasted until the last game. The two equalized 2-2 before entering the 5th and final game.

Although the early game was tense, but Nigma was the side that won the advantage at the end of the game. After winning a lot of Roshan and barracks, Nigma is ready for the final push into Alliance to get Mega creeps.

However, the price of Mega creeps is too expensive. Nigma had to use Black King Bar on multiple cores and sacrifice w33 in the process. With the obvious advantage and lack of Miracle-‘s buyback, Nigma just had to wait patiently for w33 to respawn to end the match.

But Nigma was too hasty. Kuroky started playing proactively against his opponent, preventing them from pushing mid. As long as Nigma clears the creep waves around the area, there’s no way the Alliance can advance any further. The backdoor heal still works since both lanes are pushing back to the Alliance base. With w33 reviving, the safest course of action would be the above.

In a puzzling situation, Miracle- and MinD_ContRoL outrun Nikobaby’s Medusa double-Rapier in an attempt to kill their opponent’s Disruptor support – even though Disruptor still had a buyback, undermining the importance of this gank.

With Slardar’s incredible movement speed, the two Nigma cores were surrounded by Alliance. Without the Black King Bar, due to being used in the previous push, they had no escape plan. The worst part? Disruptor does not die, disrupting the original plan outlined.

Medusa was ignored by Nigma earlier and crushed three heroes. Suddenly, Alliance found the wonderful opportunity that Nigma gave them.

With Miracle- no buyback going up the countdown, Alliance’s biggest danger is now just mega creeps. Nikobaby entered the enemy base and killed all four of Nigma’s remaining heroes before taking the final 3-2 victory.

The team will advance to the Minor representing Europe and have a chance to win a ticket to the Major if they win this StarLadder Minor.

Meanwhile, Nigma fans will probably be quite disappointed with what is going on with the team members. Nigma is no longer what he is after TI9, the tournament where the team is considered the king of the losing bracket, taking the runner-up position.

With this defeat, Nigma will miss the third round of the 2019-2020 DPC. Alliance will go to StarLadder ImbaTV Minor in Ukraine to begin its journey from March 5.
