Dota 2: Lifestealer is back strong in 7.21

After a long period of isolation, Lifestealer has finally returned to the meta and is dominating both pubs and pro games. SHORT DIFFERENCE FOR STRENGTH HERO

Agility heroes are completely overpowered in 7.20. The 25% stat bonus helps Agility heroes the most – gaining armor, attack speed, and damage from just one stat, allowing them to make good use of items throughout the game. It’s no coincidence that the Wraith Band was adjusted in 4 consecutive patches of 7.20. But this item is still too strong.

While Strength heroes also have their own bonuses, HP recovery and health bonuses are consoling rewards. It’s not enough to overcome the damage that Agility heroes take, nor help much in the late game. Strength cores, in the previous meta, usually resided in the mid and offlane.

Now, with the bonus stat gone, Agility heroes also lose their status at the end of the game. Plus a bunch of nerfs for the strongest heroes of the previous meta. Not to mention the change of Power Treads – item considered too strong for Agility hero – 26 damage and 17.5 attack speed for 1450 gold.

In 7.20, Treads deals damage and Phase Boots grants attack speed. Now things are back to normal in 7.21, and while Lifestealer also suffers from the loss of attack speed from Phase Boots, the hero is buffed in another dimension: movement speed.

+22% movement speed (from Phase Boots) and new base movement speed of 325 (second highest), Lifestealer can hit 445ms with just one item. That’s faster than both KoTL and Pugna while holding Boots of Travels. And with Agility heroes no longer receiving bonus movement speed stats, Lifestealer is hard to kite by opponents.

Lifestealer’s Open Wounds make the hero strong in the laning phase. The extra movement speed, combined with the right teammates, will make the Lifestealer a formidable threat to your team. While the game slows down (more XP between levels 7-12), Lifestealer players can control the early game to build greedy items like Midas and/or Radiance, to solve the mid-farming problem. to the end of the game.

In its current state, Lifestealer has definitely not been nerfed. This hero still has the same old weaknesses: easily ‘dubbed’ and some heroes – like Morphling, have just received a stat buff to make up for the loss from the stat bonus. But with Lifestealer back at the top of pubs – with the second-best win rate right now, it’s a good sign for a hero that’s been gone for a while in Dota.
