Let’s also find out interesting things about Faceless Void’s terrifying ultimate, Chronosphere:
1) Enrage can be activated in the Chronosphere if Ursa is holding a green staff (Aghanim’s Scepter)
Aghanim’s Scepter on Ursa used to be very popular in the game because it helped the hero get out of a lot of dangerous situations. And that includes the Void’s Chronosphere. The effect of the enemy hero caught in Chrono’s cage is “Stun” not “Silence”. This allows Ursa to activate Enrage and this is a powerful dispel move. But this doesn’t happen if you don’t have Aghanim’s Scepter, so don’t go hunting Void thinking he can’t kill you. Enrage reduces damage taken and makes Chrono go to waste.
2) Chronosphere can’t stop Omnislash
This is something many people probably already know. If Juggernaut uses Omnislash on Void, Chronosphere makes no difference at all!
3) Wukong’s Command troops will continue to hit targets trapped in Chronosphere
Although Chronosphere immobilizes Monkey King, if Wukong’s Command has been used before, the hero’s minions will continue to deal damage in the Chronosphere. So it’s best not to turn on Chrono if Monkey King is in his ultimate, especially at the level 25 talent +100 Armor. Void’s physical damage won’t do much, and the Wukong cast will smack him right!
Also, we can take advantage of this. If Faceless Void and Monkey King are on the same team, this is a great way to create this deadly combo.
4) Borrowed Time can be activated in Chronosphere
Abaddon’s Ultimate, Borrowed Time is activated when the HP drops to a certain level. But if activated, this dispel is powerful and, like Enrage, can be activated in Chrono. The plus point compared to Enrage is that Abaddon doesn’t need to go Aghanim’s Scepter!
5) Phoenix with Aghanim’s Scepter can save teammates in Chronosphere with Supernova
Phoenix’s Ultimate combined with Aghanim’ Scepter can save an ally and bring that hero back to full health, as long as the Supernova egg is not destroyed. The cast range to save allies is 55, and it can affect someone affected by Chronosphere. The Chronosphere has a radius of 425, so saving someone in the Chronosphere shouldn’t be too difficult. But if Chronosphere’s AoE is expanded to 600, surely saving teammates will become more difficult, but not impossible.
6) Tusk’s Snowball CANNOT save anyone trapped in the Chronosphere
Previously it was okay. If someone gets stuck at the edge of the Chronosphere, Tusk can Snowball and drag them in! But it was fixed in patch 6.86. Tusk can no longer drag anyone trapped in the Chronosphere into the Snowball. However, Snowball doesn’t stop when it hits Chrono’s cage and will continue. This is a good way to stun the Void while in the cage, but the stun duration is only 1.25 seconds.
