Following the explosive transfer period of Dota 2 in China, now it is Southeast Asia’s turn to have many personnel changes when Fnatic recently parted ways. iceiceice and eyyou. Daryl Koh”iceiceice“Pei Xiang left Fnatic after two years with the contract due to the expiration of his contract, and the new captain is Nico”eyyou“Barcelon also left after only a week of joining.

“Daryl(iceiceice) has been the heart of the Fnatic team since joining in September 2018. He is a talented leader and role model for the team, helping us to become the strongest Dota 2 roster in Southeast Asia. …”, Fnatic shared.
The statement also said that the reason for the separation of the two sides was because iceiceice “felt interested in playing for another region during the recent long break”. It is not less likely that this Singaporean player will return to the China region. iceiceice competed in China from 2013 to 2016 for Team DK, Vici Gaming and EHOME, before returning to Southeast Asia and competing in Team Faceless and later Fnatic.
There is currently no shortage of space for iceiceice should he decide to return to China, as the teams there have been constantly changing over the past weeks. Although the old station was Vici Gaming and EHOME just completed the new roster, there are still many other teams hunting for quality players. Even if iceiceice doesn’t make it to China, he is still an extremely quality player in the top tier of Southeast Asia.
Fnatic hinted that iceiceice still wants to rest until 2021, but this information was not confirmed until he officially spoke.
Fnatic’s breakup with iceiceice also affects eyyou
With the departure of iceiceice, the new member is eyyou of Fnatic also left the team. eyyou had just joined a week earlier after Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong parted ways with Fnatic.
Fnatic said they weren’t satisfied with eyyou’s performance, stating: “After testing Nico (ie eyyou) for a week as captain, we mutually agreed that the best decision was to go our separate ways. ”

During this time, Lee”Forex“Sang-don will continue to stand-in in the offlane position of Fnatic and former Geek Farm member Kenny”Xepher“Deo will take the place of eyyou. Maybe this is also a test of the team with this duo, but Fnatic has no shortage of talented people in Southeast Asia if they want to replace them.
Geek Farm has just parted ways with the entire lineup, while T1 is also losing members. There are many players with a lot of experience as well as some young talents of Sea who are looking for a new destination. With a long history, great reputation and capital, Fnatic organization is certainly ambitious to have a “strong” squad in Southeast Asia.
