Diretide returns in 2020 with a new game mode
Diretide 2020 combines the familiar event with a few tweaks for this year’s release. At the heart of Diretide 2020 is still the Diretide regimen.
Traditionally, creeps will drop candy when they die allowing the player to collect and store in a pocket. The two teams need to protect their candy to prepare for the sweet Roshan. Instead of winning by destroying the enemy base, the team needs to collect the most candies in a round and win three out of five rounds in total (BO5). Diretide also takes place in a new two-lane map with a strange look and new objectives.
Along with Diretide mode are collectible skins that apply The International’s Battle Pass system. Players collect Diretide points by winning Diretide games and regular games. Points will be used to buy skins as well as chat wheel sounds.
This Dota 2 has many interesting features learned in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Key returns in Dota 2 for the first time since 2015 and is used to open the Hallowed Chest of the Diretide. Another CSGO feature appearing in the game is Trade Up, which allows players to exchange 10 items for a random item of higher rarity.
Diretide 2020 will end on December 22.
That means players have more time to freely earn rewards for themselves in the game.
