Patch 7.22g Dota 2

Dota 2: A week after patch 7.22g, Alchemist got nerfed

Patch 7.22g Dota 2

The last patch update fixed a few issues that appeared after TI9, but it didn’t bring anything new to the game. It is only seen as a temporary adjustment patch and reduce inhibitions in the game.

HERO SUCCESSFULLY

Alchemist ALCHEMIST

Alchemist is nerfed to the point where the hero is no longer useful in the game, mainly because of his ability to earn gold. Greevil’s Greed now requires more targets to get the full bonus. Chemical Rage no longer allows Acid Spray to be used indefinitely, while the talent was changed to make Alchemist slightly weaker later in the game.

As a result, the hero now has a win rate of around 46%, compared to almost 56% the week before. Alchemist’s popularity has decreased significantly, now appearing only 9% of the total number of games, no longer appearing every 4 matches as before.

On the one hand, the fact that Alchemist was nerfed is great because the hero is so strong right now. On the other hand, it seems that this hero was over-nerfed and is now almost missing. Maybe a new build and gameplay with slow tempo will solve this problem?

Enchantress ENCHANTRESS

Despite losing nearly 5% of his win rate, Enchantress is still a heavily used hero. Enchantress is no longer strong in the early game, but the hero’s influence on the game in general has not changed much. In the mid-game, Enchantress is still an extremely annoying source of long-range DPS, but at least her opponents will be somewhat easier to breathe in the early game.

The win rate around 48.5% doesn’t mean anything: the hero is still used in the game despite losing lane control. Enchantress should only be for certain situations to exert its power.

The Purge effect from the Enchant, as well as the massive pure damage, make the Enchantress a danger to Omniknight and any hero that relies on Armor or Magic Resistance to survive.

Faceless Void FACELESS VOID

Agility gain per level decreased by 0.2 and the cooldown of the first level Chronosphere increased causing Faceless Void to reduce win rate by 3%, while the pick rate remained the same. Players still choose Faceless Void in about 20% of the games and win about 50% of them.

For some reason, even at its peak, the Void was never considered as troublesome as the Alchemist. Maybe now that Alchemist is no longer a priority, Faceless Void will become the next subject of complaint, despite being nerfed?

HERO BENEFITS

This patch does not introduce any new strong heroes to the meta, instead, it focuses on nerfing problematic heroes. However, 7.22g also has some notable changes.

Chaos Knight CHAOS KNIGHT

Chaos Knight now has a near 53% win rate in his games, and more importantly, the hero surpasses 50% in the Immortal ranks. Interestingly, the change of CK is not very special.

Maximum Chaos Strike’s jump increased from 2.65 to 2.8 at level 4, and 0.15 jump increased damage significantly. It increases damage potential, steals health, and since it’s applied to balls, it also increases 1-hit 1-kill when using Reality Rift.

However, the main problem with this hero is that there are some unwinnable matches. Therefore, you should wait to see what the opponent’s support is before picking Chaos Knight.

Drow Ranger DROW RANGER

Completely disappeared at TI 2019, this time Drow Ranger was buffed and became one of the strongest cores in the Immortal rank group, with a 54.5% win rate.

In addition, with the recently reworked level 15 talent, she is perfectly fine in a position 1 independent position when the opponent lacks the ability to catch odd. And yet, Drow Ranger also plays a core-support form to increase the maximum DPS damage for his long-armed teammates.

This hero can add over 100 attack speed to all allies and sometimes even creep catapults – making turrets more effective. Sweeping opponents in the laning phase with the ability to deal great damage to Agility cores that refuse to buy additional armor items, Drow Ranger will be an obsession in many matches.
