Dirt Rally – The super series of road racing games is about to have a new version

Game title Dirt Rally 2.0 is slowly ending its seasonal activity, but according to a forum post Codemasters, the new content of the game is being completed. The post reads, “While there are no plans for additional seasons of DiRT Rally 2.0, some minor and unexpected updates are planned. At this stage, the Rally development team is currently focusing on future changes.” The usual challenges will persist, the competitive esports arena will continue, and community sites will still operate.

Meanwhile, it looks like two other titles are in production. One of them is another installment of the Dirt series, created by a separate Codemasters studio. This is likely a new start for Rally. “Prepare to see the dramatic foray of something completely new into the world of DiRT.”

The post continues with: “About the future of DiRT Rally? Yes, we have a few plans in mind. We have big plans, driven by a passionate development team, with a unique mission. It’s meant to take the Rally series to the next level. You don’t know this at the moment, but once you do, gosh, you’ll be so excited for what’s to come.”​
