Stage alpha test of the Diablo: Resurrected starts on April 9th and runs until April 12th. Testers are randomly selected from players registered on the official website. They will receive instructions on how to join via email. In addition, some streamers also have the right to alpha test a day earlier than the official time, so a lot of content could be revealed as soon as April 8.
During this alpha test phase, players will experience the entire first two parts of the game through the perspective of one of three factions: Barbarian, Amazon or Sorceress. The Resurrected remaster will bring some spectacular graphics changes, but the cutscenes are still unfinished.
Lead producer Chris Lena says there will be at least one more alpha test: “We’ll start with a technical alpha for single player mode and then there will be a second technical alpha for multiplayer and stress testing.”
In the newly posted FAQ, the developers hint at the possibility of holding more alpha tests prior to release, although only alpha testing for single player and multiplayer is confirmed at the moment.
Of course, these alpha tests will shape the future of Resurrected. Lena shared that they are open to making adjustments such as balancing changes to make the game more appealing to the modern community of players.
