Dead by Daylight welcomes Halloween with a new update

To celebrate this year’s Halloween, Dead by Daylight has just received a new update that brings a lot of interesting content. Players and fans alike will be delighted to hear that there’s a lot more to come in Dead by Daylight this October.

The Archives – Tome 5: Unleashed

The new Archive section has arrived. Dead by Daylight’s newest addition to the game, Tome 5 Unleashed, hits players on October 21.

This new piece of content allows players to unlock memories for The Hillbilly, Nea Karlsson, and The Blight. The story of The Blight is further explored as players gain access to the end of the original storyline of the Hallowed Blight event from 2018, as well as all past Hallowed Blight lore content.

For the first time since The Archives began, a whole new type of challenge is introduced: Pustula Plants. This flora invades the body and mind, and mutates the host until they are under the control of the plant. Once selected in Auris Web, the player will have to face this plant to complete the challenge.

In Tome, players will be able to earn 4 Pustula Plant Charms that evolve across 4 levels. Players will also get 30% off Auric Cells for Adam Francis and The Clown characters between October 21 and October 28 to celebrate the release date.

Graphics update

Dead by Daylight is currently getting a graphic remake. During the following years, with each new chapter, the developer will add an additional content accompanied by updated graphics, lighting, animations… In this way, as players and fans alike As we approach the game’s 5th anniversary in 2021, the game will look and feel better as new patches roll out along with regularly scheduled content updates.

Specifically, Dead by Daylight will have more realistic models and textures, related to characters and stories. Additionally, lighting and VFX enhancements help deliver a more immersive experience.

Players can anticipate environmental factors in Killing Grounds. The rooms themselves will also have a specific function and will therefore be recognizable, as well as provide more information to the player.

In the end, all of these elements and upgrades come together and come out with an emphasis on mood and atmosphere, intended to make the game more engaging for both the Killer and the Survivor.

The Eternal Blight Event

Starting now until November 4, players can participate in a brand new Halloween event in the game called The Eternal Blight. The event brings new Survivor and Killer add-ons including the first Killer add-on: a dangerous chemical compound called Blight Serum that allows Killer to use the power of Blighted Rush, after attacking Survivor. Players will also receive 4 unique Halloween-themed charms.

Finally, from October 23 to November 1, you’ll be able to save up to 75% on a variety of outfits, including the Hallowed Blight and Hallowed Catalyst Collections.
