Cyberpunk 2077 says no to virtual reality glasses

Production Manager of CD Projekt RedJohn Mamais confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will not use VR because this technology has only been developed in recent years. In an interview with OnMSFT, Mamais said that the production team received an offer to bring Night City into the VR world, but ultimately decided that “it’s not really possible.”

Mamais shared, “We tried. We considered VR but ultimately didn’t use the technology. We had VR development kits but I think it’s not really feasible yet. You haven’t earned it yet. We’ve made a lot of money from VR, the technology is just experimental at the moment. While we like VR, we don’t have any concrete plans for it yet.”
