fnatic announced that they have officially parted ways with Richard “Xizt” Landström.
The Swedish tactician is leaving fnatic after four months on the bench, with recent reports suggesting he will be heading to Dignitas to reunite with three of his former NiP teammates.
Xizt returned to fnatic in May 2018 after playing for the organization from 2010 to 2012. He led the team to victory at the PGL Grand Slam and runner-up at StarSeries i-League Season 7, IEM Sydney 2019. Xizt on leaving dropped from the official roster in August with Simon “twist” Eliasson due to the team’s failure to qualify for the StarLadder Major with poor performance.
Fnatic ends the year on top with Maikil “Golden” Selim and Robin “flusha” Rönnquist when the two returned to the squad. Fnatic climbed into the top 5 of the world rankings after winning DreamHack Masters Malmö, finishing second in StarSeries i-League Season 8 and ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals.
After not being invited to the BLAST Premier, the Swedish team will return to compete in IEM Katowice – the tournament will take place from February 25 to March 1. Golden’s current situation is unknown, as he re-entered fnatic on loan from Cloud9.
The current fnatic lineup is as follows:
Jesper “JW” Wecksell
Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
Robin “flusha” Rönnquist
Maikil “Golden” Selim (borrowed)
Andreas “Samuelsson” Samuelsson (coach)
